1973 Cyprus Tour
Dave Lay and his Muirhill worked 30 hours non-stop, to dig the Gunners and Marines in.
They had no idea of what a Muirhill & one Sapper could do, so were very pleased with the effort that Dave made and rewarded him with cans of beer.
Everytime he completed a Gun pit, or whatever else, the beers flowed. Dave states "thank goodness their was no breath test, I would have been jailed for sure".
Un-confirmed story
2 Troop's Medic removed shotgun pellets, from the Backside of two Marines, who were trying to steal a Horse, on the Island.

2 Troop History 1971 - 1979
1974 New Brunswick, Canada
Dave Lay can recall driving his Muirhill A5000 from St John's Dock, the 100Km to "Camp Gagetown", which was a Canadian Engineer Base.
A huge Base, miles from any civilisation, with this main road the only way to reach it, or civilisation, just an endless road.
Dave travelled at a sedate 25km per hour, taking 4 hours to reach the base, the troop had travelled there before him.
The Troop stayed here for 3-4 weeks.
What did the Troop do??
